SUBLUXATION EXPLAINED

A Subluxation is defined by chiropractors as a relatively common condition in which a spinal vertebra has lost its proper alignment with one or both of its neighbouring vertebrae.

Defining Subluxation

While a Subluxation is not as extreme as a dislocation, chiropractors believe they interfere with the nervous system.

‘Vertebral subluxation’ is a myriad of signs and symptoms thought to occur as a result of a misaligned or dysfunctional spinal segment.

The chiropractic subluxation complex is a functional biomechanical spinal lesion which alters neurological function that can result in neuro-musculoskeletal and visceral disorders.

Bone, muscle, joint, and most importantly nerve functions are all altered due to vertebral subluxations. Compromising the way your nervous system controls, regulates and coordinates your body’s function can have detrimental effects on your overall health.

Sometimes back pain, neck pain or other joint aches and pains are the body’s warning sign that something is wrong in the spine. Chiropractors are the only professionals trained in detecting and correcting subluxations.
